Dr. Young practices in Lompoc

Dr. Young received his Doctorate of Optometry over twenty five years ago from the Southern California College of Optometry and has since earned a masters degree in clinical management from Pacific University College of Optometry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and specializes in the treatment and management of ocular diseases but also practices the full scope of optometry.

A retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Young has practiced in a variety of locations to include overseas. He served his country for over twenty years earning numerous medals for meritorious service and achievements. Dr. Young has been with Kendall Optometry for over five years and has lived in the Lompoc area for over 11 years.

Dr. Young is a life member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Armed Forces Optometric Society. He maintains currency with his profession by frequently attending practice enhancement continuing education seminars.

Although Dr. Young and his wife grew up in the San Joaquin Valley, they love the Central Coast and also enjoys traveling to visit arts and crafts festivals. During off duty time, Dr. Young enjoys speedwalking, biking, and playing guitar.
