As an optometrist, vision and eye health has been my business.  But when work is through, my love for bicycling really gets me going.  For the past 30 years, my eyesight has been slowing me down. I was legally blind without glasses, and contacts made my eyes so irritated I could hardly ever wear them. So, I was stuck with my glasses for my daily bike rides. But after my custom LASIK procedure at Shepard Eye Center I don’t have to worry about wearing prescription glasses anymore.  When the alarm rings in the morning, I can actually see the time without scrambling for my glasses.  It took only a 15-minute procedure with Dr. Zarnegar, and I walked out the same day with crystal clear vision.  I’m Dr. Michael Young - and thanks to custom LASIK at Shepard Eye Center, the road ahead is looking pretty clear. 


Cataracts Testimonial - Nancy

Traveling is my passion, and I have been exploring new locations for years. But, these new adventures have been blurry because of my poor eyesight.  I had cataracts in each eye and my prescription was maxed out.  The doctors at Shepard Eye center went over my options in detail so I felt comfortable about my decision.  I had my Cataracts removed and opted for a RESTOR Lens implant that has allowed me to throw away my glasses.  My vision is great and traveling is much easier without having to switch from sunglasses to glasses to read the map.  After 23 years of inconvenience, two 15-minute procedures at Shepard Eye Center opened up a whole new world to me.  It’s been a year and I don’t ever have to wear glasses.  I’m Nancy- and thanks to the doctors at Shepard Eye Center, I can’t wait until my next trip.
